Above the Bivouac (campsite) all tents and cooking utensils are all authentic Napoleonic period, as are all the tents
and uniforms. The re-enactment organisation have very strict rules about authenticity, and no groundsheets or waterproof
sheeting are allowed on the tents. The participants sleep on straw, and nothing which is not from the Napoleonic period
is allowed to be seen, including cigarette lighters, and anyone caught with anything not of this period are sent off site.

Before the actual battle of Waterloo, which takes place on the battlefield at waterloo, all the troops, including
the horse cavalry parade through the streets around Waterloo, and fight minor skirmishes en route.
The battle runs over two days and is well worth seeing over and over again, even though the good guys always win!!!
